Android client setup: from install to connected

April 30, 20265 min

Android is the most fully featured client, supporting subscription import, split tunneling, and one-tap connect. Here's the complete flow from zero to connected.

  1. 1

    Download and install the client

    Pick the Android client on the tutorials page and download the apk; open it and follow the prompts. If the system blocks it, temporarily allow 'install from unknown sources.'

  2. 2

    Import your subscription

    Copy the subscription link (or get the QR) on the console's 'Nodes' page, then choose 'Import from clipboard' or 'Scan QR code' in the client — all nodes import at once.

  3. 3

    Connect

    Pick a nearby, low-latency node, tap connect, and allow the VPN permission the first time. Once it shows connected, you're online.

Troubleshooting

  • Can't connect? Switch nodes, or check that your network works without the VPN;
  • Slow? Prefer a geographically closer node;
  • Nodes expired or changed? Pull to refresh on the subscription to fetch the latest list.
