Split Tunneling lets you choose which apps go through the VPN and which use your local network, balancing speed and privacy.
Typical uses
- Route only the browser/streaming apps through the VPN, keep downloaders local for speed;
- Or the reverse: only banking apps stay local, everything else is encrypted;
- Select per app under Settings → Split Tunneling.
Split Tunneling is most complete on desktop and Android. After configuring, reconnect once to make sure the rules take effect.
